We’re always excited to see restaurants release new menus (it keeps us on our toes, and very excited) and Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant’s latest a la carte menu which features over 20 dishes transforms premium, seasonal ingredients into a slew of exquisite Cantonese dishes. You can look forward to authentic flavours that pay homage to traditions, and a stunning dining experience that infuses modern twists to further elevate this gastronomic journey.
Kick things off with the Dim Sum Trio Platter comprising ultra-luxurious offerings of Steamed Lobster with Bamboo Pith Crystal Dumpling with Gold Leaf, Steamed Hokkaido Scallop with Caviar Dumpling, and Deep-Fried Prawn with Avocado Vermicelli Roll. These evolutionary renditions are the result of high-quality ingredients meticulously prepared with a blend of contemporary and traditional techniques, creating the perfect segue into a repertoire of dishes that will only impress you more.
Soup has always been one of the most ageless preludes of a hearty meal and Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant has succeeded in creating rich soups that will whet your appetite before the main courses arrive. We especially recommend the nourishing Double-Boiled Boneless Quail filled with Bird’s Nest Superior Soup. The stock has been broiled for long hours, resulting in a bounty of flavours. The Stewed Bird’s Nest with Crab Roe and Crab Meat Superior Soup is an equally moreish dish that will leave you wanting more.
A prime choice that will instantly steal the attention of everyone at the table is the Roasted Spanish Suckling Pig wrapped with Wok-Fried Glutinous Rice and Chinese Sausage. The roasted pig has been deboned beforehand and what you can expect is an indulgent melt-in-your-mouth collagenous pork that’s stuffed with fluffy glutinous rice, all beautifully roasted. Make sure you have enough stomach space for the Wok-Fried Cod Fillet with Foie Gras in Chef’s Secret Sauce. The fish is cooked to perfection before being doused in a gorgeously fragrant golden stock made with a medley of premium ingredients that includes Chinese ham, pork trotter and chicken feet. Brewed for over six hours, the end result is an umami-rich sauce that enhances the natural flavours of the fish.
Keep that palatable momentum up with the Braised Guan-dong Sea Cucumber stuffed with Iberico Pork in Chef’s Secret Sauce that yields even richer flavours to take your dining experience to a whole new level.
How do you round off a fantastic meal? With dessert, of course! Spanning from modern to traditional favourites, there’s a sweet treat for everyone amongst their house-special desserts. Purists who prefer the classics will love the Double-boiled Peach Resin with Red Date, Longan, Candied Melon, White Fungus and Malva Nut, Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Red Wine Granite and Purple Dragon Fruit, and Chilled Coconut Pudding with Purple Glutinous Rice Puree.
