Sentosa GrillFest – The Ultimate Beachside Food Street with Booze and BBQ Delights

Sentosa GrillFest is back this year with a plethora of new exciting treats for everyone! Featuring local 2nd-Gen Hawkers, Sentosa’s F&B outlets, and even a Gourmet Discovery Market. Open every Friday to Sunday from 13 to 29 July 2018, Sentosa GrillFest is set along a 1km strip on Sentosa’s beloved Siloso Beach. Admission is free, so mark your calendars, get your gang and head to Siloso Beach today!
Wu Ke Shu
For a traditional BBQ treat, we highly recommend trying the Satay (chicken and beef) which is freshly grilled for you! Expect flavorful tender meat seared to charred perfection. Each bite releases a smoky aroma and juices that make this really difficult to resist. Dunk your satay stick into a delectable peanut sauce gravy and pineapple purée to cut down on the oiliness and add another layer of flavour. It’s difficult to miss this stall when the smoky aroma pulls you in from a couple stalls away!
Spuds and Aprons By One Faber Group
Rejoice, seafood lovers! Spuds and Aprons offers a healthy selection of premium seafood and meats. One of my favourite items in their selection is their premium Half Shell Scallop with Mentaiko Gratin ($17). This popular stall is perhaps one of the best places for a hearty feast with your loved ones.
Good Old Days by One Faber Group
Expect familiar hawker delights with a twist such as the Lobster Hokkien Mee. As the name suggests, lobsters are used in place of prawns, which gives the dish a heavier and richer flavour. The broth is done using old hen and prawns instead of pork so that everyone can now enjoy this mouthwatering dish.
FOC Sentosa
For a classic Spanish bite, opt for the Patata Bravas which sees crispy potato with spicy salsa “brava” and aioli. The combination of the different components came together really well to give these Spanish native tapas a really refreshing bite on the go!
Wave House Sentosa
Perhaps one of the top soul food picks is the classic American Chicken and Waffles. Topped with a creamy and aromatic salted egg sauce, the Salted Egg Chicken and Waffles from Wave House is a winner. We especially loved the fluffy waffles which complemented the juicy fried chicken patty really well.
Fat Belly
If you’re looking for some great steak, opt for the Mayura Signature Wagyu Tri Tip at Fat Belly! The Tri Tip cut is an ultra-thick cut of the sirloin that carries a nice marbling and a full-bodied flavour. We were also happy to note that the steak came with a marbling score of 9+!
Kinsa Sushi X Hokey Poki
A noteworthy dish that caught our eye at Sentosa GrillFest was the Laksa Mentai Soft Shell Crab Taco from Kinsa Sushi X Hokey Poki. While its name was a mouthful, the Laksa Mentai Soft Shell Crab Taco wasn’t. Expect fragrant Laksa Mentai blended with a generous serving of Soft Shell Crab, sandwiched between crunchy crisp tacos. The delectable treat offers a good bite overall and is a tasty snack.
Monkey See Monkey Do
For those who wish to enjoy your food while walking around, the addictive Luncheon Meat Fries Bucket is a fantastic option. For those who still prefer potatoes, the Curly Fries Bucket from Monkey See Monkey Do is a tasty alternative.
AJ Hackett Sentosa
Burgers galore! Indulge and treat yourself to a beautiful Beef BBQ Burger with Swiss Emmental Cheese & Crispy Shallots at AJ Hackett. The juicy beef patty and the melted Emmental cheese was a winning combination, while the shallots added another layer of texture and aroma.
Craft’B
Another top burger contender is the Tom Yum Prawn Burger from Craft’B! Bite into the pillow-soft pretzel bun, juicy prawn patty slathered with tangy tom yum sauce, radish, cucumber pickles, lettuce, and tomato. An interesting take on a prawn burger with a familiar touch of tom yum for that extra oomph!
