Turn Your Dream into Reality with Samsung Dream Exchange

I am not sure about you. But when I travel, I have a goal in mind. For instance, I head to Bangkok because I want to cover as many delicious street food as possible. I flew to Melbourne to take up food photography and barista lessons.

This time round, I went to New Zealand with the hope of printing a travel photobook as an anniversary gift for the fiance. This is something I have been wanting to do for the longest time. We have been to many places together but often, our photos are kept in a memory card and if we lose the card some day, we would have lost all the stored memories. It’s nothing noble but having a photobook converts memories into a tangible one.

Now, with the help of technology, it is so easy to create a photobook. Thanks to Samsung, I was able to bring along my NX mini, NX30 with a thin 30mm lens (excellent F2.0) and GALAXY Tab PRO 10.1 just for this trip. I have been carrying very bulky cameras for the past few travel trips and to be honest, it was giving me shoulder aches and I was not really enjoying myself because of the heavy bag. So this time, I told myself to travel light and enjoy the moment.

It was a great choice because the NX mini produces equally good photos and I can easily share beautiful images onto Instagram and Facebook via the Samsung smart camera app.

The GALAXY Tab PRO is a well-made tablet with a high -res screen. I’ve never been an advocate of using a tablet as a camera, because it just looks ridiculous. But the Tab PRO seems like a decent alternative as the rear -facing camera packs a total of 8MP, alongside flash. Okay, let me share some images with you. I will be starting to write about my New Zealand trip so you will be able to see more beautiful images soon.

Samsung welcomes Singaporeans and PRs to take part in the Dream Exchange competition from 1 July to 8 August 2014. They just need to:

1. Log on to the Dream Exchange microsite at www.dreamexchange.com with a valid Facebook or Twitter account
2. State dream in 125 or less characters, specifying the Samsung product which can help to fulfill it, using the #DreamExchange hashtag
3. Click Submit to share their dream with Samsung

Samsung will be enabling 50 of these dreams to take a step to becoming reality, by gifting these selected winners with the Samsung product of their choice. Good luck!
