Kiang Kiang Taiwan Teppanyaki – Ex-SIA Stewardess & husband Opens Taiwanese Teppanyaki Stall
June 08, 2024
Taiwanese-style Teppanyaki, while a dime a dozen in Taiwan, is a rare find in Singapore. Fortunately, you can now try it at Kiang Kiang Taiwan Teppanyaki which is helmed by Cherry, an Ex-SIA stewardess of 6 years, and her husband. The couple decided to open this stall because they wanted to bring more Taiwanese Cuisine options to the table. They eventually settled on Taiwanese Teppanyaki which, unlike Lu Rou Fan or Mee Sua, is not as readily available.
There are 4 different sets for you to choose from. Each set comes with a meat, carbohydrate, vegetable, sauce of your choice, and an egg on the side. Everything is served on one sizzling hot teppanyaki plate, so you can be sure that your meal is piping hot!
The Ribeye Steak Set ($13.50) might be one of the more expensive items on the menu, but it is definitely worth its price tag. My steak was not overcooked, which is something that happens very often when steaks are served on hot teppanyaki plates. The steak was moist and juicy on the inside, and it went very well with the mushroom sauce.
The bestseller here is the Chicken Chop Set ($8.50) and I can totally see why. The chicken chop was huge and thick, and was not dry at all. There was also a layer of crisp skin which contributed to the dish’s overall flavour and texture.
If you are looking to try Taiwanese Teppanyaki, you should definitely visit Kiang Kiang Taiwan Teppanyaki! Their food is not only affordable, but will also leave you feeling satisfied.
