Bangkok has been a hotspot for animal cafes. Huskies, owls, raccoons, and even exotic animals such as the serval and caracal have all appeared in many animal cafes. For a small entrance fee, diners get to enjoy their meals, and the company of lovely animals.

Diners at Dog In Town only have to order a drink, food or dessert to gain access to playtime with the cute dogs that roam around the café freely. Otherwise, the ‘entrance fee’ costs 250B per person.

We spotted more than 5 different dog breeds at Dog In Town— French Bulldog, Schnauzer, Rough Collie, West Highland White Terrier, Samoyed and the ever famous, Husky.

The dogs are allowed to roam freely throughout the café. Some of them will even jump up onto the sofa to take a look at what other diners are eating.

The café sells a variety of Western dishes which include Spaghetti Ebiko Cream Sauce (195B), and Taro Cheese Burger (Pork/Beef) (275B), as well as Thai dishes, such as Steamed Rice with Crispy Pork (155B).

As we were there just after lunch, we only ordered the Thai Tea (Hot: 95B, Iced: 125B, Frappe: 135B). I wouldn’t say that the drinks are stellar, but the happiness you get from playing with the cute little dogs is definitely worth 125B.

Playtime arrived, and the dogs were let out onto the grass patch to drink water, do their business and frolic in the warm sunlight.

Even though the drinks at Dog In Town were average at best, we would definitely go back there just for the pure bliss of being surrounded by so many of men’s best friend.
